Body
Whereas, The plaintiffs, Frederica Cornehls, State of Wisconsin, Dept. of Health and Family Services and Milwaukee County Department of Human Services have filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee seeking an unspecified amount of damages; and
Whereas, The plaintiffs have agreed to settle this lawsuit in the amount of $60,000.00 ; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this lawsuit; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $60,000.00 payable to the order of Frederica S. Cornehls and her attorneys, Warshafsky, Rotter, Tarnoff, Reinhardt and Bloch, S.C. to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 636506 001 1490 2631 S118-2001.
