This resolution authorizes the Director of the Department of Employe Relations, on behalf of the City, to enter into an agreement with University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM) concerning the provision of training and instruction to city employes by UWM.
BODY:
Whereas, The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM) has indicated its desire to reach an agreement with the City where UWM will provide training services to city employes in an amount not to exceed $130,000; and
Whereas, The Director of the Department of Employe Relations has determined that the agreement is compatible with the department's needs and that such an agreement would be advantageous to the department and the City; and
Whereas, An agreement between UWM and the City has been drafted and is attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Director of Employe Relations is authorized and directed to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City between UWM and the City, which agreement will be in substantially the same form as the drafted agreement attached to this file, which is approved.
