This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Inc. to allow for the provision of donated intermittent additional security services at the City-owned parking structure located at 324 West Highland Avenue, utilized by employees of the Journal Sentinel.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to enter into an agreement with the Journal Sentinel, Inc. to contract for a uniformed, licensed security officer to undertake additional patrol of the City-owned parking structure located at 324 West Highland Avenue, weekdays between the hours of 10:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. on an intermittent basis; and

Whereas, It is considered by the parties desirable and in the best interests of the safety and convenience of the public that such an agreement be reached between the parties regarding the provision of additional security services at the City-owned parking structure; and

Whereas, All costs associated with the security services will be borne solely by the Journal Sentinel, Inc.; and

Whereas, Milwaukee Journal, Inc. agrees to indemnify, defend and hold the City harmless for injuries, death or property damage resulting from the performance of the work under this agreement; and

Whereas, The Agreement reflects all other terms and conditions approved by the parties; and

Whereas, The Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by either party upon a ten day written notice; now, therefore, be it
