This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a one-year lease with Penfield children's Center for the off-street parking lot located at 2626 West Wells Street for the use of employees and visitors. __________________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee owns the off-street parking lot located at 2626 West Wells Street; and
Whereas, This parking lot is currently a City permit parking lot, but is underused in that context; and
Whereas, Penfield Children's Center, located at 833 North 26th Street, has requested to lease this lot for a one-year term beginning on the first day of December 1997, at a rental rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month; and
Whereas, The leased premises will be used to accommodate employees and visitors at Penfield Children's Center; and
Whereas, There is sufficient off-street public parking in this area, and no additional public parking needs have been identified for these premises; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into a one-year lease with Penfield Children's Center, beginning on the first day of December, 1997, and ending on the thirtieth day of November, 1998, with one (1) year extension permitted at the option of the City, for the off-street parking lot located at 2626 West Wells Street at the rental rate of Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month.
