This resolution authorizes the Director of Employe Benefits to enter into contracts with outside consultants and authorizes payments for such contracts for the purpose of completing request for proposal processes for Pre-paid Dental providers, Flexible Spending Program administrator and Long-term Disability Insurance vendor.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee's contracts with Pre-paid Dental providers, the Flexible Spending Program administrator and the Long-term Disability Insurance vendor will expire on December 31, 1999; and
Whereas, The Division of Employe Benefits has advised that it will require the assistance of outside consultants in connection with requests for proposals for such benefit plans; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Employe Benefits Manager is authorized to initiate requests for proposals for Pre-paid Dental providers, for a Flexible Spending Program administrator and for a Long-term Disability Insurance vendor; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Employe Benefits Manager is authorized to enter into contracts not to exceed $30,000 from Special Purpose Account 613001-001-1654-163-S115 to assist with the development and review of the requests for proposal.
