Title

Resolution granting approval of three driveway approaches with a width greater than 30 feet for the premises at 2005 West Oklahoma Avenue, in the 13th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This resolution grants approval for three driveway approaches with a width greater than 30 feet for the premises at 2005 West Oklahoma Avenue.

Body

Whereas, Catalyst Construction, the applicant, has submitted a permit application, PWDR-26-00008 to construct three driveway approaches for the new school at 2005 West Oklahoma Avenue in the public right-of-way; and

 

Whereas, One of the driveway approaches will be in the public right-of-way of West Oklahoma Avenue and two of the driveway approaches will be in the public right-of-way of South 20th Street; and

 

Whereas, The width of the new driveway approach in West Oklahoma Avenue will be approximately 35 feet; and

 

Whereas, The width of the north driveway approach in South 20th Street will be approximately 31 feet; and

 

Whereas, The width of the south driveway approach in South 20th Street, which is designed to only allow right-in and right-out traffic, will be approximately 42 feet; and

 

Whereas, The Department of Public Works, after having reviewed the permit application, has determined that the width of the driveway approaches will not be detrimental; and

 

Whereas, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 115-23 requires that any driveway approach that has a width greater than 30 feet must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that PWDR-26-00008 is approved.
