- Analysis -

This resolution authorizes the supply, installation and maintenance of equipment and material for the operation and maintenance for the Building Management Computer System by Johnson Controls, Inc. to provide compatibility of equipment and undivided responsibility for maintenance and servicing the equipment.


BODY:
Whereas, The Buildings and Fleet Division has a Building Management Computer in the Municipal Building which operates and monitors the heating, ventilating and air conditioning in the Municipal Building, City Hall, 809 Broadway Building and many outlying buildings; and

Whereas, Alterations and modifications made to the heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems in these buildings due to office remodelings and systems updating will require changes in the controls for these systems and the monitoring done by the Building Management Computer; and

Whereas, The Building Management Computer was installed and is serviced by Johnson Controls, Inc.; and

Whereas, It would be in the best interests of the City of Milwaukee to procure the equipment, materials and services necessary to make changes in the operation and for maintenance of the computer systems from Johnson Controls, Inc. to insure compatibility of equipment and undivided responsibility for operation of the system; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works be authorized and directed as being in the best interests of the City of Milwaukee to procure the equipment, materials and services necessary to make required changes to the Building Management Computer System from Johnson Controls, Inc. during 1998; and be it
