This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to make the necessary improvements to the water service connections to the median islands in North 6th Street from West Clybourn Street to West Juneau Avenue at an estimated cost of $3,000. North 6th Street from West Clybourn Street to West Juneau Avenue is scheduled for improvement in 1998 with Federal Aid.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 940190 on June 7, 1994 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement for programming and construction of the improvement of North 6th Street from West Clybourn Street to West Juneau Avenue with Federal Aid under the Surface Transportation Program; and
Whereas, Several median islands water service connections in North 6th Street will be improved as a part of the street improvement; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to make the necessary improvements to the water service connections on the median islands along North 6th Street from West Clybourn Street to West Juneau Avenue; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer, within the Capital Grant and Aids Project Fund, to the Water Service Connections (Medians) North 6th Street from West Clybourn Street to West Juneau Avenue subaccount the amount of $3,000 but not to exceed a 10 percent increase or $5,000, whichever is greater, in the amount set aside as follows:
