Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept and fund the 2017 Community Based Colorectal Cancer Education for African American Grant from the Research and Education Program Fund, a component of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment in the amount of $49,823 with a grantor share of $49,823 (100%). The purpose of the grant is to develop and pilot a training of a new colorectal cancer prevention and education class for African American males.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Research and Education Program Fund, a component of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment to develop and pilot a training of a new colorectal cancer prevention and education class for African American males; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant program from 01/01/17 to 06/30/2018 would cost $49,823 comprised of $49,823 (100%) grantor share,; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application of this grant from the Research and Education Program Fund, a component of the Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Milwaukee Code of Ordinances Section 304-81; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent of the 2017 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amounts for the program titled 2017 Community Based Colorectal Cancer Education for African American Men Grant:
