Substitute resolution authorizing and directing the Commissioner of the Department of Public Works ("DPW"), on behalf of the City, to enter into an Intergovernmental Cooperation Agreement with the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission ("MADACC") concerning the provision of construction oversight services by DPW.

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of DPW, on behalf of the City, to enter into an agreement with the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission ("MADACC") concerning the provision of construction oversight services by DPW.
BODY:
Whereas, A number of Milwaukee County municipalities, including the City, have formed the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission ("MADACC"); and
Whereas, MADACC has indicated its desire to reach an agreement with the City for the construction oversight services during construction of a new animal control facility, at an agreed upon price; and
Whereas, The Commissioner of DPW has determined that the agreement is compatible with the Department's needs and that such an agreement would be advantageous to the Department and the City; and
Whereas, An agreement between MADACC and the City has been drafted and is attached to this file; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of DPW be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement on behalf of the City between MADACC and the City, which agreement will be in substantially the same form as the drafted agreement attached to this file, which is approved.
