Analysis

This resolution authorizes City officials to issue an occupancy permit to Moore Construction allowing them to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of South 77^th Street south of West Oklahoma Avenue to a point 200 feet south.

Body

Whereas, Moore Construction has been contracted for construction services at 7635 West Oklahoma Avenue; and

Whereas, Moore Construction has requested to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of South 77^th Street south of West Oklahoma Avenue to a point 200 feet south beginning November 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018; and

Whereas, The western sidewalk of South 77^th Street will remain open to pedestrian traffic for the duration of the permitted closure; and

Whereas, Moore Construction will be responsible to contact all affected property owners and businesses informing them of the closure and the affected dates; and

Whereas, The Commissioner of Public Works may approve temporary occupancy of up to one-third of the width of the right of way while temporary use beyond that point must be approved by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are hereby authorized to issue an occupancy permit to Moore Construction allowing them to occupy the entire roadway and eastern sidewalk of South 77^th Street south of West Oklahoma Avenue to a point 200 feet south beginning November 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018.
