Analysis
This resolution provides for the relocation of the second identified point of connection to provide wholesale water to Mequon from North 107th Street and West County Line Road to North 91st Street and West County Line Road. The change will be formalized in an amendment to the Water Service Agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the City of Mequon authorized by this resolution.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has a water service agreement with the City of Mequon for the provision of water at wholesale; and

Whereas, The agreement identified two points of connection to the Milwaukee Water Works distribution system: North 76th Street and West County Line Road; and North 107th Street and West County Line Road; and

Whereas, Mequon currently purchases water from Milwaukee solely at the metered connection point located at North 76th Street and West County Line Road; and

Whereas, Mequon requested to change the second point of connection from North 107th Street and West County Line Road to North 91st Street and West County Line Road; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works evaluated this request and found sufficient hydraulic capacity is available in the water main at North 91st Street and West County Line Road; and

Whereas, The requested connection point change will have no impact on Milwaukee Water Works operations; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, That the proper city officials are directed to execute an amendment to the Water Service Agreement with the City of Mequon, in substantially the same form as the amendment attached to this resolution, to relocate the second point of connection to the Milwaukee Wate...
