This resolution authorizes an appropriation from the Common Council Contingent Fund to the Special Purpose Account Convention and Travel Expense to fund a projected deficit. -------------------------------------------------------
BODY:
Whereas, Section 350-181 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, Authorized Travel Regulations and Procedures for Convention Attendance, authorizes the City Comptroller to approve individual variances between the estimated amounts established for a specific convention and the actual reimbursement; and
Whereas, This section also directs the Comptroller to initiate a supplemental funding request by resolution if the total funding provided for all authorized conventions appears inadequate to fund all authorized conventions contained therein; and
Whereas, The Comptroller does anticipate a shortage in the Convention and Travel Expense Fund; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that $1,483.46 be appropriated from the 1997 Common Council Contingent Fund (Account number 09-910-8000) to the Special Purpose Account Convention and Travel Expense Fund (Account number 01-022-8702) to fund the anticipated shortage in this account.
