The Common Council adopted Council File No. 990095 on July 29, 1999, which directed the Department of Public Works (DPW) to solicit bids for operation of the cafeteria in the City Hall complex. This resolution expresses Common Council approval of the cafeteria proposal received by DPW from Elliotts' Off-Broadway Deli. The resolution also specifically authorizes and directs DPW to negotiate a contract with Elliotts' and, if a satisfactory agreement can be reached, to execute such a contract.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council adopted Common Council File No. 990095 on July 29, 1999, which directed the Department of Public Works (DPW) to solicit bids for operation of the cafeteria in the City Hall complex; and
Whereas, DPW has received 3 bids for cafeteria operation, and the bid from Elliotts' Off-Broadway Deli proposes to provide both deli food and vending machine service; and
Whereas, DPW has determined that the bid from Elliotts' Off-Broadway Deli offers the best proposal package and meets the requirements of the City; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Common Council approves the proposal of Elliotts' Off-Broadway Deli to operate the cafeteria in the City Hall complex, provided that a satisfactory agreement can be negotiated by DPW; and, be it
Further Resolved, That DPW is authorized and directed to negotiate a contract with Elliotts' Off-Broadway Deli to operate the cafeteria in the City Hall complex, and, if satisfactory agreement can be reached, to execute such a contract.
