Analysis
This ordinance prohibits the opening of new community living arrangements and correctional facilities in areas where the density of existing facilities of these types is 4 or more per square mile.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 295-419 of the code is created to read:
295-419. Concentration of Group Living Facilities. No new community living arrangement or correctional facility shall be permitted at a particular location if 4 or more existing community living arrangements or correctional facilities, in any combination of those 2 types of facilities, are located in the one-square-mile, square-shaped area centered on such location.
