This resolution authorizes settlement of the lawsuit of Barbara A. Lonnborg v. City of Milwaukee and Blue Cross/Blue Shield in the amount of $7,500.00. _____________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, The plaintiff, Barbara A. Lonnborg, has filed a lawsuit against the City of Milwaukee with damages in excess of $2,500.00; and
Whereas, The plaintiff has agreed to settle the lawsuit in the amount of $7,500.00; and
Whereas, The City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to settle this lawsuit; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $7,500.00 payable to the order of Barbara A. Lonnborg and Chernov, Stern and Burbach, S. C., her attorneys, in full and final settlement of this lawsuit, upon receipt of a release of claims, approved as to form and execution by the City Attorney, said amount to be charged to the Damages and Claims Fund, Account No. 01-013-8001.
