This resolution authorizes the City Engineer to enter into an agreement with the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission for financial support for a map recompilation effort proposed by the City of Milwaukee, in an amount, not to exceed $112,000.00, with the City's share being $0.00.


BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is an active participant in the Milwaukee County Automated Mapping and Land Information System (MCAMLIS), a public-private partnership created by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors to implement an automated mapping and land information system within Milwaukee County; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has proposed to digitally recompile a portion of the City's cadastral maps to fully integrate the City's existing digital cadastral mapping files into the Milwaukee County automated mapping and land information system data base format; and

Whereas, The City Engineer has sought the financial support of the MCAMLIS Steering Committee for the aforementioned digital, cadastral mapping services; and

Whereas, The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC), acting as project manager for the MCAMLIS Steering Committee has applied for and been awarded a grant in the amount of $95,000.00 from the Wisconsin Land Information Board for a portion of the aforementioned mapping services; and

Whereas, The MCAMLIS Steering Committee has taken formal action to provide the remaining funding needed to carry out this work effort in an amount not to exceed $17,000.00; now, therefore, be it
