This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to accept public access easement to provide access to the rear of certain parcels in the area north of West Washington Street between vacated South 7th Street and vacated South 8th Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The United Community Center is the owner of real property located on southwest 1/4 of section, 32 Township 7 North, Range 22 East in the City of Milwaukee, County of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin; and
Whereas, Prior to City Common Council adoption of Resolution File Number 990404 on July 19, 1999, the real property was public right-of-way for alley purposes; and
Whereas, There is an existing concrete alley pavement in place within the real property; and
Whereas, The alley pavement is and will continue to be situated over certain portions of United Community Center property; and
Whereas, The Common Council Resolution File Number 990404 which was approved on July 29, 1999, requires that United Community Center grant an easement to the City to continue operation of the public alley on United Community Center property; and
Whereas, In order to continue to provide access to the rear of certain properties affected by the vacation, the United Community Center has signed the Easement Agreement; and
Whereas, The easement will be granted at no cost to the City of Milwaukee; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said Easement Agreement, incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth in full, is hereby accepted, and the proper city officers are hereby authorized and directed to execute any documents necessary to evidence such acceptance on the behalf of the City of Milwaukee; an...
