Analysis

This resolution rescinds the closing deadline provisions contained in Common Council File Number 252059 relating to the sale-back to Michael J. Lowrey and Charlene Hinchliffe of the City-owned tax-deeded property located at 1847 North 2nd Street, in the 6th Aldermanic District.  

Body                                                                                                                          

Whereas, Common Council File Number 252059, adopted May 12, 2026, authorized the sale-back of the City-owned tax-deeded property located at 1847 North 2nd Street to Michael J. Lowrey and Charlene Hinchliffe; and

Whereas, Common Council File Number 252059 included previsions requiring the sale to close by May 30, 2026; and

Whereas, Additional time is necessary to complete the sale-back transaction; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the closing deadline provision contained in item 4 of the first resolved clause of Common Council File Number 252059 is rescinded; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the provision stating that the Former Owner's request for sale-back shall be deemed rejected if the sale does not close by May 30, 2026 is rescinded; and, be it

Further Resolved, That all other provisions of Common Council File Number 252059 shall remain in full force and effect.
