Title

Substitute resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Health to execute a Memorandum of Understanding with Trilogy Health Insurance relating to billing of services.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Health to execute a Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Department and Trilogy Health Insurance relating to billing of services.

 

Body

Whereas, Trilogy Health Insurance (Trilogy) manages the overall health care of persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus, and administers these benefits; and

 

Whereas, Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus require a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Milwaukee Health Department (MHD) and Trilogy recognizing that MHD and Trilogy have clients in common and agree to cooperate in removing access barriers, coordinating care and providing culturally-competent services; and

 

Whereas, The intent of this MOU is to authorize MHD to provide health care services to persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus, and to qualify MHD for reimbursements for Covered Services provided to persons receiving benefits through Wisconsin Medicaid and BadgerCare Plus; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Health is authorized to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the Health Department and Trilogy Health Insurance, a copy of which is attached to this file.
