Whereas, An application was submitted by Julia Means, on behalf of the Ebenezer COGIC on April 9, 2017; and

Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on June 12, 2017 and voted five (5) ayes and zero (0) noes to recommend approval of this honorary naming; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the honorary street name "Elder Jonathan Saffold, Sr." to Auer Avenue at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, North 2nd Street and North 3rd Street is approved.
