Analysis
This resolution authorizes the proper City officials to negotiate a lease with Columbia St. Mary's for the temporary relocation of the Columbia St. Mary's helipad onto Water Works property west of Lincoln Memorial Drive and north of Water Tower Road. When the permanent helipad has been constructed, the temporary helipad will be removed and the site restored.

Body
Whereas, Columbia St. Mary's hospital is undergoing extensive construction which requires the relocation of their helipad for the duration of the construction; and

Whereas, Columbia St. Mary's, the Federal Aviation Authority, and the regional Flight for Life Program have identified a site on Water Works property, west of Lincoln Memorial Drive and north of Water Tower Road, as suitable for a temporary helipad; and

Whereas, The Milwaukee Water Works does not require the use of this parcel of land in the normal course of their business and has no objection to the proposal; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the appropriate City officials are authorized and directed to negotiate a lease with Columbia St. Mary's for the temporary relocation of the Columbia St. Mary's helipad onto Water Works property west of Lincoln Memorial Drive and north of Water Tower Road; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the cost of the project will be borne by Columbia St. Mary's and that when construction of the permanent helipad has been completed, the temporary helipad will be removed and the site restored.
