Title
Resolution relating to acceptance of contributions from the Social Development Commission to support the 2023 Milwaukee Fatherhood Summit.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Department of Administration - Office of African American Affairs to accept and expend up to $10,000 in contributions from the Social Development Commission for the 2023 Milwaukee Fatherhood Summit. Donated and contributed funding will be used for increased media coverage, renting event space, purchasing signage, and equipment rental for exhibit booths.

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and
Whereas, The 2023 Milwaukee Fatherhood Summit is an eligible use of funds contributed by the Social Development Commission; and
Whereas, The grantor will provide 100% of this grant; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of Administration - Office of African American Affairs is authorized to accept up to $10,000 in contributions from the Social Development Commission for supporting the 2023 Milwaukee Fatherhood Summit; and, be it
Further Resolved, That City Comptroller is authorized to create the necessary accounts to carry out the intent of the file; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to transfer appropriations and estimated revenue from the Contribution Fund - General (account number 0001-2110-0001-D001-006300) and the estimated Revenue Account for Contributions (account number 001-2110-0001-009850) to the Department of Administration Special Account (account number 0001-1510-DXXX-006300) and the Department of Administration Estimated Revenue Account (account number 0001-1510-0001-009850) for the purposes set forth in this resolution in the amount of $10,000.
