Member Linda Elmer shared Benson's concerns, arguing that the standard for street naming should involve service to the larger community rather than just a single block. Member Oneill supported the nomination, highlighting Easton’s role as a "Good Samaritan" who cared for neighborhood children and opened her home to those in need but after hearing Linda's remarks about the standards for the committed he aggress with Linda on the non approval of the application. Whereas, An application was submitted by Kim Eason on November 18, 2025; and

Whereas, The application was reviewed by the Department of Public Works and all related costs have been paid; and

Whereas, The Citizen Advisory Committee on the Naming of Public Buildings, Facilities and Streets met on June 1st, 2026 and voted to deny the application by a vote of three (3) ayes, One (1) no One (1) abstain; and now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that assigning the honorary name “F. M. Eason" to North Palmer Street from West Townsend Street to West Concordia Avenue, is denied.
