Analysis

This resolution declares the Beet Street Fall Festival to be an official City event and authorizes the acceptance and expenditure of contributions for this purpose.

Body

Whereas, The Beet Street Fall Festival has been an annual event since 2016, and is planned to occur this year on October 3; and

 

Whereas, The Festival is a family friendly event that celebrates the Fall season as well as local and international artists; and

 

Whereas, The Festival will also host unique learning opportunities, citywide organizations, and a maker’s market; now, therefore, be it  

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Beet Street Fall Festival is declared to be an official City event; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Common Council-City Clerk’s Office is authorized to accept and expend contributions for this purpose; and, be it

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Common Council-City Clerk’s budget for the expenditure of the contributions; and, be it

Further Resolved, That all City departments are directed to assist as necessary to make the Beet Street Fall Festival successful.
