Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute State/Municipal Agreements with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, and reconstruction of North 107th Street bridge over Fond Du Lac Avenue (STH 145). The State/Municipal Agreement provides 100% Federal and State aid for preliminary engineering. The total estimated cost of this project is $4,846,605 with an estimated grantor share of $4,826,465 and an estimated City share of $20,141. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the programming, design, and reconstruction of North 107th Street bridge over Fond Du Lac Avenue (STH 145) with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be liable for any cost incurred by the State should the City decide to withdraw from the project; and
