- Analysis -
 
To provide the necessary authority for sidewalk repairs in the Second and Ninth Aldermanic Districts. ___________________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, It is necessary and in the public interest to replace those sidewalk stones which are cracked, broken, out of grade or otherwise a hazard to pedestrians; and
 
Whereas, It is proposed that sidewalk replacement work be done in the following locations at the indicated cost:
 
Area bounded by West Brown Deer Road, North 68th Street, West Bradley Road, North 60th Street, Chicago & Northwestern Transportation Company Right-of-Way, North 76th Street, West Good Hope Road and North 91st Street in the Second and Ninth Aldermanic Districts ST230000103 (816-903); and
 
Whereas, Funds have been encumbered and thus set aside for the proposed public improvement; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Commissioner of Public Works be, and is hereby authorized and directed to proceed to do the above described sidewalk replacement work, and the City Comptroller is hereby authorized and directed to transfer $160,000 from Account No. 0333-4926-ST230000000 and $377,000 from Account No. 0330-4926-ST230000000 which is available for Subaccounts; and, be it
 
Further Resolved, That the proper City departments take such action as is required of them to assess the abutting properties, and collect such assessment in the manner directed by Section 115-42 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
