Resolution relating to acceptance and subsequent expenditure of a $3,500 contribution to the Milwaukee Fire Department from Habush, Habush & Rottier.
Analysis
This file authorizes the Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) to accept a donation of $3500 from Habush, Habush & Rottier law firm to be used to purchase car seats for distribution through the MFD Community Relations program.
Body
Whereas, City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances 304-24 allows acceptance of donations to the City of Milwaukee with Common Council approval; and
Whereas, Habush Habush & Rottier wishes to donate $3500 to MFD to be used to procure car seats; and
Whereas, MFD members certified through the Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) program will install car seats in vehicles; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that MFD may accept with appreciation and gratitude the donation from Habush Habush & Rottier; and, be it
Further Resolved, That upon receipt of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a special account within the Fire Department’s budget for expenditure of the contributions.
