Title
Resolution reaffirming the approval of the alley vacation as it relates to the Parklawn Subdivision and dedication of portions of public right-of-way, in the 1st Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution reaffirms the approval of the alley vacation for a technical correction.
Body
Whereas, To facilitate single-family development at the Parklawn Development of the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee, the Common Council on September 24, 2002 by passage of File No. 020636 approved the Parklawn Resubdivision, which created new lots and dedicated new streets and alleys; and
Whereas, On October 15, 2002 by passage of File No. 020522, the Common Council approved the vacation of a portion of the East and West legs of alley located in the blocks bounded by West Hope Street, West Marion Street, North Sherman Boulevard and North 47th Street; and
Whereas, On November 21, 2002 the Department of City Development recorded the final plat known as Parklawn Subdivision at the Milwaukee County Register of Deeds; and
Whereas, Because the Common Council should have approved the vacation before rather than after the recording of the subdivision plat, the Common Council needs to reaffirm said vacation; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the vacation of a portion of the East and West legs of alley located in the blocks bounded by West Hope Street, West Marion Street, North Sherman Boulevard and North 47th Street is reaffirmed.
