This resolution authorizes the sale of a surplus-size, vacant, tax deed lot owned by the City of Milwaukee to the adjoining owners.
BODY:
Whereas, The adjoining owners, Meco Real Estate LLC with their property located at 920 North 28th Street and Sarah J. Larson with her property located 938 North 28th Street, have offered to purchase the surplus-size, vacant, tax deed lot located at 930-32 North 28th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 388-1212-100-3, containing 7,920 square feet (3,960 square feet each) for the amount of $1,980 each; and
 
Whereas, This property will be used as green space with fencing and landscaping appropriate for the area to curb walk-through traffic, litter, and vandalism to the adjoining buildings; and
 
Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot is being sold in "as is" condition; and
 
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offers, the sale of said property to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed property pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Offers are accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700.
