Analysis

This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates said portions of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation is necessary for the West Hadley Street re-alignment as part of the West Fond du Lac Avenue reconstruction.

Body

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that portions of West Hadley Street and North 29th Street located on the Northeast Side of West Fond du Lac Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, The vacation of said portions of street is necessary for the West Hadley Street re-alignment as part of the West Fond du Lac Avenue reconstruction; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said portions of street in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
