Title

Substitute resolution directing the Department of City Development to prepare two resolutions, one to vacate West Green Tree Road from North Industrial Road west to a point and one to vacate North Industrial Road from West Green Tree Road southeasterly to a point, in the 9th Aldermanic District.

Analysis

This substitute resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare two resolutions to vacate said streets in separate actions in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. These vacations were requested by the Department of City Development to accommodate an expansion of the campus for Direct Supply, Inc.

Whereas, It has been proposed by the Department of City Development that West Green Tree Road from North Industrial Road west to a point be vacated and that North Industrial Road from West Green Tree Road southeasterly to a point be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare two resolutions to vacate said streets in separate actions in accordance with Section 308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
