Title
Substitute resolution establishing the 2026 Solid Waste Charge.
Analysis
This resolution establishes the 2026 Solid Waste Charge at $67.95 per quarter, for an annual charge of $271.80.
Body
Whereas, Section 79-6 of the Code of Ordinances establishes a Solid Waste Charge, as authorized pursuant to ss. 66.0405 and 66.0627, Wis. Stats.; and
Whereas, Section 79-6 of the Code requires adoption of a resolution on an annual basis that establishes the Solid Waste Charge; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the 2026 Solid Waste Charge is established in accordance with s. 79-6 of the Code, and imposed on a quarterly basis as follows:
1. $67.95 per quarter per residential unit for one-, 2-, 3-, and 4-family dwellings.
2. $67.95 per quarter per cubic yard for properties other than those specified under Item #1.

Further Resolved, That this ordinance takes effect January 1, 2026.
