Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department and City Comptroller to cancel uncollectible receivables totaling $43,666.60 relative to the Direct Administration of Lead Abatement.

Body

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has received bankruptcy or foreclosure notices on various invoices relative to lead abatement services that were performed on various City of Milwaukee properties through the Direct Administration of Lead Abatement program; and

Whereas, For reasons stated herein, the City has not been able to collect the amounts due as a result of the bankruptcy or foreclosure of the properties and have been notified by the City Attorney’s Office as uncollectible; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the following invoices are cancelled:
