Analysis
This resolution permits the City of Milwaukee to accept quit claim deeds to dedicate land for public right of way.
Body
Whereas, The Department of Public Works has requested dedications of land to facilitate alley improvements in three locations and has prepared the appropriate legal descriptions; and
Whereas, The property owners have executed agreements to quit claim land to the City of Milwaukee for dedication of public right of way for no monetary consideration; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acquisition and dedication of these lands; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the proper City officials are authorized to accept quit claim deeds to dedicate public right of way for the following properties:
From the Housing Authority of the City of Milwaukee for public alleys in the area bounded by West Hope Avenue, West Marion Street, North Sherman Boulevard and North 47th Street, in the 1st Aldermanic District.
From the Neighborhood Improvement Development Corporation for a public alley in the block bounded by West Kilbourn Avenue, West Wells Street, North 24th Street and North 25th Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
From Paul D. Wilhelm and Gerald L. Wilhelm for a public alley cutoff in the block bounded by West Lisbon Avenue, West Wright Street, North 50th Street and North 51st Street, in the 17th Aldermanic District.
