This resolution authorizes and directs the City Comptroller to transfer $31,411 from the 2001 Common Council Contingent Fund to the Department of Employee Relations' 2001 Tuition Benefit Special Purpose Account to pay the final tuition-benefit costs for 2001.

Whereas, The Tuition Benefit Special Purpose Account was budgeted at $700,000 for 2001; and
Whereas, The costs for this city program exceeded the budgeted amount by $31,411 for 2001; and
Whereas, The Department of Employee Relations, based upon past experience, estimated that usage that employees would make of this program; and
Whereas, Employees used this program, which is a benefit bargained through labor contracts, at a higher level than was estimated; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer $31,411 from the 2001 Common Council Contingent Fund (Account number 0001-9990-0001-C001-2001-006300) to the 2001 Department of Employee Relations' Tuition Benefit Special Purpose Account (Account number 006300-0001-1652-0420-S171) to pay the final costs of the tuition-benefit program for 2001.
