This ordinance provides that a building inspection reinspection fee of $50 may be charged to compensate for inspectional and administrative cost, except no fee shall be charged when compliance is recorded.
BODY:
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 200-33-48 of the code is amended to read:
200-33. Fees.
48. REINSPECTION FEE. [[There shall be no charged for the first reinspection to determine compliance with an order to correct building code violations. A fee of $50 may be charged for any subsequent reinspection to compensate for inspectional and administrative costs.]] >>To compensate for inspectional and administrative costs, a fee of $50 may be charged for any reinspection to determine compliance with an order to correct conditions of the building code, except no fee shall be charged for the reinspection when compliance is recorded.<< Reinspection fees shall be charged against the real estate upon which the reinspections were made, shall be lien upon the real estate and shall be assessed and collected as a special tax.
