Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the programming, design, real estate acquisition, and construction of South Kinnickinnic Avenue (STH 32) from East Morgan Avenue to Fulton Street. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 75 percent Federal and State aid and 25 percent local cost sharing for preliminary engineering, and 100 percent Federal and State aid for real estate acquisition. The total estimated cost of this project is $16,700,000 with a City share of $1,817,600 and a grantor share of $14,882,400. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for preliminary engineering at an estimated cost of $2,100,000 with an estimated City share of $525,000 and a grantor share of $1,575,000, and to transfer fund for real estate acquisition at an estimated cost of $110,000 with an estimated City share of $0 and a grantor share of $110,000. Construction funds for this project will be included in future resolutions.
