This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to make the necessary water service connection alterations along several major arterial streets scheduled for improvement in 2002 with Federal/State Aid, at an estimated cost of $146,000.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee has previously authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute project agreements for programming and construction of the following major streets with Federal/State Aid:
West Howard Avenue, South 27th Street to South 13th Street
East Kenwood Boulevard, North Downer Avenue to North Oakland Avenue
Park East Freeway Reconfiguration
West Wisconsin Avenue, North 20th Street to North 11th Street
Sixth Street Viaduct (South End)
and
Whereas, Several median islands in the aforementioned streets will be modified as a part of the street improvement requiring alterations of the water service connections to the concealed irrigation system in the median; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized, upon approval of the projects by the Common Council, to make the necessary alterations to the water service connections to the median islands along the following streets:
West Howard Avenue, South 27th Street to South 13th Street
East Kenwood Boulevard, North Downer Avenue to North Oakland Avenue
Park East Freeway Reconfiguration
West Wisconsin Avenue, North 20th Street to North 11th Street
Sixth Street Viaduct (South End)
