ANLS:
-Analysis-
This resolution authorizes settlement of razing costs for the property at 1230 North 13th Street. The owner will pay $7,000.00 in full payment for the outstanding demolition charges.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council has made it a priority for the City of Milwaukee to collect razing costs through in personam actions against property owners who have not reimbursed the City for its costs; and
Whereas, One of the properties where a demolition occurred is located at 1230 North 13th Street in the City of Milwaukee and is owned by Franklin and Flossie Grant; and
Whereas, The razing costs balance amounts to $18,526.16; and
Whereas, The owners of the property have very few assets but have an offer to purchase this property from a neighboring church and would turn over all the proceeds of the sale minus transaction costs for a total of $7,000.00; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Common Council accept the total of $7,000.00 as a total payment for the demolition and collection costs for this property.
