Analysis
The ordinance expands the locations at which all night parking permits are sold (currently police department stations) - fire department stations, public library facilities, public works sanitation district facilities, and private facilities under city contract.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 101-27-2-a and c of the code is repealed and recreated to read:
101-27. All Night Parking.
2. SPECIAL PERMIT. a. Vehicles may be parked during such hours, provided they shall first obtain a special privilege permit from any of the following facilities: police department stations, fire department stations, public library facilities and public works sanitation district facilities; or private facilities under city contract, after filing an application and paying a permit fee, all as required under this section, and shall be parked as authorized by such permit, as provided in sub. 5.
c. Any vehicle for which a person is applying for a special privilege permit may be inspected for purposes of determining eligibility for such a permit as provided in this section.
