Title
Resolution authorizing an easement, lease agreement and sale of a part of the City-owned property at 2270 South Kinnickinnic Avenue to 2266KK LLC, in the 14th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes an easement, lease agreement and sale of a part of the City-owned property at 2270 South Kinnickinnic Avenue according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report pursuant to Sections 304-49-5 and 304-49-8, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
Body
Whereas, The 2266KK LLC owns the property at 2266 South Kinnickinnic Avenue and wants to obtain part of the adjacent City-owned property at 2270 South Kinnickinnic Avenue, as summarized in a Land Disposition Report (“LDR”) attached to this City of Milwaukee Common Council file, in order to adjust the property line so that a wall currently on the City-owned property, but attached to the building on 2266KK LLC’s property, can be repaired and remain attached to its building; and
Whereas, The 2266KK LLC also desires an easement on the City-owned property to access the wall on the south side of their property and a lease agreement to use and maintain the green space on the City-owned property all as described in the LDR; and
Whereas, The Department of City Development has reviewed the proposal and recommends approval; and
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the easement, lease agreement and sale of a part of the City-owned property at 2270 South Kinnickinnic Avenue as per the terms and conditions in the LDR are approved; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized to execute the required agreements with 2266KK LLC, on behalf of the City, as necessary to close the transaction according to the terms of the Land Disposition Report; and, be it
