Resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Tobacco Control Grant. (Health Department)
ANLS:
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Tobacco Control Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $14,607. The purpose of the project is to increase the knowledge of retailers licensed to sell tobacco products in the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for increasing the knowledge of retailers licensed to sell tobacco products in the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 09/30/99 to 05/31/00 would cost $14,607 entirely provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant parent account of the 2000 Special Revenue Accounts-Grant and Aid Projects, the following amount for the project titled Tobacco Control Grant:
