This resolution reverses the July 7, 1997 decision of the Historic Preservation Commission relative to denial of a Certificate of Appropriateness for the installation of window sill wrapping at the property located at 500 North Water Street.
BODY:
Whereas, In November, 1987 the Common Council of the city of Milwaukee ("Common Council") adopted Common Council File No. 870085, thereby designating the East Side Commercial Historic district; and
Whereas, Section 308-81-9-f of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for appeals to the Common Council of decisions of the Milwaukee Historic Preservation Commission relative to denials of issuance of Certificates of Appropriateness; and
Whereas, The owner of the property located at 500 North Water Street has appealed the July 7, 1997 decision of the Historic Preservation Commission denying the issuance of a Certificate of Appropriateness for the proposed installation of window sill wrapping at the property located at 500 North Water Street; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the common Council reverses the July 7, 1997 decision of the Historic Preservation Commission in disapproving the application of Taxman Investment Company for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the proposed installation of window sill wrapping at the property located at 500 North Water Street
