This substitute resolution vacates a portion of an alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This vacation was requested by the abutting property owner in regard to traffic concerns in the alley.
BODY:
Whereas, It is proposed that a portion of the southern leg of the North-South alley located in the block bounded by North Oakland Avenue, East North Avenue, North Bartlett Avenue and East Thomas Avenue be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, This proposed vacation has been reviewed in accordance with Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said portion of alley, as indicated by Exhibit "A" and bounded and described by:

That part of alley as platted in Block 220 of Walworth's Subdivision, a recorded subdivision, in the Southeast 1/4 of Section 16, Township 07 North, Range 22 East, described as follows:

Commencing at the Northwest corner of Lot 9 in said Block 220; thence Westerly along the Westerly extension of the north line of Lot 9 to a point in the westerly line of said alley; thence Southerly and Southeasterly along the westerly line of said alley to a point in the westerly extension of the present north line of East North Avenue, said point lying 50.00 feet North of, as measured normal to, the south line of said 1/4 Section; thence Easterly along said north line extended to a point in the easterly line of said alley; thence North...
