Title
Substitute resolution to vacate the South leg of the North-South alley in the block bounded by North Broadway, East Clybourn Street, East St. Paul Avenue and North Milwaukee Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.
Analysis
This substitute resolution vacates the above portion of alley in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. The abutting landowner requested this vacation for future building renovation and expansion.
Body
Whereas, It is proposed that the South leg of the North-South alley in the block bounded by North Broadway, East Clybourn Street, East St. Paul Avenue and North Milwaukee Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 62.73, Wisconsin Statutes; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works has been authorized and directed to prepare a coordinated report estimating all costs and benefit assessments that will be incurred with said vacation; and

Whereas, Said vacation has been reviewed in accordance with Sections 81-116-1 and 308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that said portion of alley as indicated by Exhibit A and bound and described by:

That part of the North-South 14.00 foot wide alley as platted in Block 15 of Plat of Milwaukee, a recorded subdivision, in the Southwest 1/4 of Section 28, Township 7 North, Range 22 East, described as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the north line of East St. Paul Avenue and the east line of said alley; thence Northerly, along said east line, 48.00 feet to a point; thence Northwesterly to a point in the centerline of said alley, said point being 60.00 feet North of the north line of East St. Paul Avenue; thence Westerly, parallel to said north line, to a point in th...
