This resolution authorizes the sale of said vacant, tax deed lots by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, Walker's Point Development Corporation has offered to purchase the vacant, tax deed lots located at 1228-32 West Madison Street, 543 and 545 West Maple Street, and 1535 South 5th Street, Tax Roll Key Nos. 432-0301-2, 462-0924-9, 462-0925-4 and 462-0466-X, containing 8,554, 6,250 and 8,600 square feet, respectively, to construct single family housing for low to moderate income families for $1.00 per parcel; and

Whereas, Walker's Point Development Corporation has received a funding commitment from the Department of Housing and Urban Development contingent upon proof of purchase from the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, Full site and building plans must be approved by the Department of City Development prior to closing; and

Whereas, These vacant, tax deed lots are being sold in an "as is" condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lots to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed property pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Offer is accepted and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lots and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211- 2700.
