Substitute resolution relative to application for the Primary Prevention Pilot Program Grant.

ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Primary Prevention Pilot Program Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The purpose of the grant is to link records of births and deaths with social, demographic and environmental data and analysis and mapping of factors that contribute to infant mortality in the city.

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to support a three year pilot project to control lead-based hazards in residential rental properties in the Lisbon Avenue Development Neighborhood; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized.
