Analysis

This ordinance repeals the code provisions relating to the environmental health board.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 66-12-5-g-3 and 4 of the code is repealed.

Part 2. Section 66-12-5-g-5 of the code is renumbered 66-12-5-g-3.

Part 3. Section 75-23-19-b-1 of the code is amended to read:

75-23. Tattooing and Body-Piercing.

19.                      Emergency Suspension.

b-1. An emergency suspension shall be for no longer than 14 calendar days. [[The department may, before expiration of an emergency suspension, determine that the immediate danger to public health continues to exist, and that the temporary order shall remain in effect after the expiration date of the original emergency suspension until a hearing has been concluded and the environmental health board has made a decision on the matter.]]

Part 4. Section 75-23-19-c to f of the code is repealed.

Part 5. Section 75-23-20 of the code is repealed.

Part 6. Section 75-40 of the code is repealed.
