This resolution amends the City's 1998 corporate purpose resolution to include an additional initial resolution, Common Council Resolution File No. 980371.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council Resolution File No. 971740, being a resolution authorizing the Commissioner of Public Debt to market General Obligation "Corporate Purpose Bonds" pursuant to provisions of Chapter 67 was adopted by the Common Council on March 31, 1998 and signed by the Mayor on March 9, 1998; and
Whereas, The Common Council is desirous of amending such "corporate purpose" resolution by adding an additional initial resolution adopted by the Common Council after the adoption of Common Council Resolution File No. 971740 for the inclusion under the "corporate purpose" resolution; now, therefore be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that Common Council Resolution File No. 971740 is amended by adding the underlying initial resolution as set forth herein and in the amounts shown;

Further Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that in accordance with sec. 67.05(13 and the amendment herein, the Commissioners of the Public Debt are authorized and requested to issue and sell General Obligation "Corporate Purpose Bonds" in the aggregate amount of $223,199,721 for each of the Corporate Purposes specified herein and in Common Council Resolution File No. 971740 and that in all other respects, Common Council Resolution File No. 971740 remains in full force and effect.
